One-Stop Center

RBA's One-Stop Center has a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). The facilitator helps patrons investigate and learn about career pathways. Offers career coaching and training that help individuals in the workplace. It is a center that provides workforce services, such as job search, resume writing, dress for success workshops, and workplace etiquette training for youths and adults in the rural town of Summerton and Sumter, South Carolina areas. 

The Summerton Computer Lab has seven laptops and two personal computers. During the intake process, the facilitator discusses users' knowledge of computers and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Discuss primary individual computer goals. Teach user's about hardware and computer components. The facilitator introduces new vocabulary terms. Our goal is to ensure patrons will learn in a safe and clean computer lab. The RBA Summerton Community Second Chance Program (SCCL) is a nonprofit program. SCCL provides coaching and materials to help individuals return to the workforce successfully. The Second Chance Program assists returning citizens in investigating and creating pathways to learn vocational skills. The program helps enrolled individuals understand how to search for a job successfully. Assists individuals in preparing for employment, building self-esteem, purpose, and direction, and reducing the recidivism rate.

Individuals who enroll in the SCCL Second Chance Program receive career and workplace training. The enrollee receives copies of their cover letter and resume. The patron also gets a letter of explanation outlining their situation and a list of resources and websites to help them find second-chance employers.
